Grafting clips

The food-compliant silicone meets the requirements of BfR Recommendation XV (Silicones), FDA 21 CFR § 177.2600, Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006.

The clips are used for the refinement of fruiting vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines and watermelons. They are physiologically safe, contain no plasticisers and are manufactured using a high-quality platinum cross-linking process. The optimized shape ensures easy handling and supports secure fixation of the grafting site — an important prerequisite for high take rates. The clips can be used in a temperature range from –60 °C to +180 °C. For automatic refinement machines, delivery as bundled goods is possible.

Silnova has extensive experience in the development of refinement clips for agricultural applications. With the support of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf Institute, various material solutions were tested under practical conditions. The results underline how important optimally matched material and geometry properties are for reliable use in plant refinement. On this basis, Silnova develops precisely fitted solutions for efficient and stable agricultural processes.
