When installation space is limited, our specially developed alternative solutions enable precise and efficient profile integration, using a cornered design instead of a traditional radius to improve adhesion, simplify installation, and enhance long-term stability.
Do you require an individual sealing solution or wish to further develop an existing oven sealing concept?
Contact us – we will be pleased to advise you and jointly evaluate the optimal implementation.
Aviation places exceptionally high demands on materials and components in the aircraft interior. Safety and reliability are just as much in focus as weight efficiency, design and integration capability.
Whether on short- or long-haul flights, in passenger or crew areas – silicone solutions for aviation must meet the highest optical standards, reliably withstand the permanent movements of the aircraft as well as effortlessly resist cleaning agents and long-term use. Silnova develops and produces durable, elastic and dimensionally stable silicone solutions that permanently fulfill these requirements.
At the same time, aspects such as weight optimization, design freedom, noise reduction and easy installation are gaining increasing importance in modern cabin concepts.
Our silicone profiles, seals and molded parts enable flexible, precision-fit constructions that adapt optimally to complex cabin and component geometries. This ensures permanently reliable function – regardless of whether they are used in side walls, overhead compartments, seat or trim systems.
Our silicone materials for use in aviation meet all relevant requirements for applications in the aircraft interior. They are specifically designed for use in safety-critical cabin environments and are based on certified aviation formulations that fulfill elevated requirements regarding fire behavior, toxicity and smoke density.
The permanently elastic properties of the materials ensure a reliable sealing and protective function, even under recurring mechanical stress. Integrated functional details such as fastening aids or assembly-friendly geometries enable simple and secure integration into existing cabin concepts. The surfaces are additionally designed to support easy cleaning and maintenance.
Upon request, we additionally review customer-specific or market-specific requirements and ensure that the materials and formulations used are optimally matched to the respective application in the aviation-specific environment.

Our silicone materials feature consistent elasticity across a wide temperature range. Furthermore, they are free from plasticizers and therefore exhibit no plasticizer migration. In addition, they are PFAS-free and thus suitable for safety-relevant applications.
For applications in aviation, certified silicone formulations are available that additionally fulfill elevated requirements regarding fire behavior and toxicity. These aviation-grade materials form the material basis for profiles, seals and molded parts in the aircraft interior and simultaneously enable individually customized colorations (e.g. AIC color codes).
