Requirements & Standards
Our silicone materials for oven seals meet all relevant requirements for use in household and commercial appliances. They are food-safe and therefore suitable for contact with food and kitchen environments. Thanks to their high temperature resistance, they withstand both continuous loads and short-term peak temperatures of up to 300 °C. At the same time, they are resistant to steam, grease, and cleaning agents, ensuring a long service life and consistently reliable sealing performance.
The permanently elastic material properties ensure a reliable closing function, while integrated fastening hooks, clips, or mounting bases make installation particularly easy. In addition, the surfaces offer easy cleanability, which facilitates hygienic applications and maintenance.
Upon request, we also assess additional country-specific or customer-specific requirements and develop solutions that are optimally tailored to the respective markets and areas of application.
Material Properties
Our silicone materials combine high continuous temperature resistance1, excellent low-temperature flexibility2, and consistent elasticity across a wide temperature range. They are odorless and tasteless, free from plasticizers, and therefore do not exhibit any plasticizer migration. In addition, they are considered physiologically harmless and are PFAS-free.
Thanks to the significantly increased heat stability of our premium quality SIK6508 and SIK8225, the service life of the products is further significantly extended. At the same time, these material variants offer optimized resistance to steam and grease, making them particularly suitable for demanding applications in hygienically sensitive or thermally highly stressed environments.
