The industry is characterized by a wide range of technical applications and very diverse operating conditions. The focus here is primarily on special solutions with thermal resistance, among other features, mechanical stability and long-term functional reliability of the components used.
Silnova products are already successfully deployed in demanding industrial environments – including in autoclaves and sterilizers, in laboratory cabinets as well as in the form of round cords, profiles and hoses for RTM-process. These applications require materials that reliably withstand extreme temperatures, pressure, aging and sustained stress.
In addition to material selection, the assembly of components also plays an important role. Depending on the application, customer-specific cuts and assemblies are just as achievable as special versions with fasteners and adhesive tapes.
Our silicone-based solutions are precisely matched to the respective operating conditions and ensure consistent performance, long service life and process safety, even under continuous or cyclical permanent use. This makes them ideal for industrial applications where reliability and resistance are decisive.
The applications are as diverse as the industries themselves. Accordingly, the requirements for materials, processes and standard conformity are wide-ranging. Silnova solutions meet the highest demands in terms of purity and material stability, for example through targeted tempering to minimize volatile components. As a result, our products are odor- and taste-neutral when required and also suitable for sensitive applications. Industry-specific standards can be reviewed and taken into account on a case-by-case basis.
Depending on the field of application, we realize material specifications: from heat-stable, chemical-resistant and electrically conductive compounds to individually adapted materials. In addition, depending on the application or export country, we take into account relevant international requirements and standards and develop perfectly fitting solutions that reliably meet the respective framework conditions.
Our silicone materials are characterized by high long-term temperature resistance¹ and cold flexibility². This makes them ideally suited for demanding industrial applications. They remain dimensionally stable and functionally reliable even under high heat and intense steam exposure – for example in sterilizers or autoclaves.
In addition, the materials offer consistent elasticity across a wide temperature range as well as very good aging resistance. These properties make them a reliable solution wherever components are subject to thermal, mechanical or process-related stress.
Depending on the requirements, extruded profiles, round cords as well as components specifically suited for RTM processes (Resin Transfer Molding) are used. In addition to molded parts, this also includes hoses and profiles that are optimally tailored to the requirements of the process. This makes it possible to realize both simple and complex geometries with high reproducibility and consistent quality.
The materials used are plasticizer-free and PFAS-free and can – depending on the design – also be used for applications involving contact with sensitive media. This results in long-lasting, robust components that reliably meet the high demands of industrial operating conditions.

Sustainability aspects are continuously integrated into the further development of our product portfolio. Already today, we offer hose solutions for a wide range of industrial applications in which alternatives to PFAS-containing products are used.

Alongside our proven standard versions, we also realize customer-specific custom developments for demanding industrial applications. When special requirements arise, we develop precision-fit solutions together with our customers.
In doing so, special versions are created such as insulating hoses for thermally demanding processes or hoses for dry ice blasting in extreme cold applications in the extreme cold range. These examples demonstrate how flexibly material structure and construction can be adapted to individual requirements.
